A: Our backup system is online 24 hours a day, 7 days week.
You will need an Internet connection. A high speed
Internet connection is prefered for faster
backup. You may already have a high speed Internet connection at your corporate office.
So no extra services to buy.
For added security, you can run a direct private line to our data center for your backup needs.
Q: Are data transfers secured over the Internet when we send backup data to your backup system?
A:Internet is a public network. Any data can be intercepted by a third party.
Such data transfer is not secured.
For security and confidentiality of the data, US Federal laws such as HIPPA requires security such as encryption
of data transfers. Our backup systems support VPN (virtual private network) which provides encryption and security
to your data.
All backup and restore data are
encrypted if you link your VPN devices to ours. Many corporate offices already have VPN devices installed.
If you don't have VPN service enabled at your office, we can setup VPN for you in a
couple of days.
Q: Do we need to buy any backup software to do the backup?
A:
Depending on what operating systems do you run on your servers and workstations, both
Windows 2000 and Unix systems have build-in backup utilities for you to do your backups.
Backups can be scheduled for repeated backup jobs. We provide free consultation to our
customers on how to setup backups for both Windows and Unix systems.
Q: What are "backup data transfer" and "restore data transfer"?
A:
When we calculate your bandwidth usage, "backup data transfer" are data received at the our backup system
and "restore data transfer" are data transmitted from our backup system.
Q: What are the fees for additional storage space?
A:
Additional storage space can be purchased at $295 per 100GB storage space.
Q: What are the additional bandwidth usage fees?
A:
500GB backup data transfer and 50GB restore data transfer per month is included in the monthly fee of
100GB storage space.
Additional backup data transfer can be purchased at $100 per 200GB backup data transfer.
Additional restore data transfer can be purchased at $100 per 50GB restore data transfer.

A: In order to protect the security and confidentiality of electronic health information, Congress has passed The Health
Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, also known as HIPAA. By April 14, 2003, doctors, hospitals and insurance
