Network Firewall
|
A firewall is a system or group of systems that is plugged in behind the router at the Internet connection and implements your security policies and protection. It does this by first blocking unwanted traffic or users from the services you are trying to keep protected. Secondly, it grants access to other traffic or users in which you have already specified as acceptable. To put it simply, a firewall enables you to control incoming and outgoing traffic between the Internet and your protected network. |
