November 18, 1999: Cybercon launches virtual ISP
program.
After serving web hosting companies for years, Cybercon added wholesale
nationwide dialup services. With a few hundred dollars' investment,
a virtual ISP can setup a nationwide Internet service that competes
at the same level with AOL, Earthlink, ...etc: offering both web hosting
and nationwide dialup services.
November 1, 1999: Cybercon hosts over 200 dedicated and
colocation servers.
With the help of our ultra fast and super reliable network,
our customer base continues to grow fast. We now have over 200 dedicated
servers colocated at our data center.
October 14, 1999: Cybercon added a new full T3 Internet
backbone connection to Sprint.
The new T3 link connects Cybercon data center
direct to Sprint headquarter in Kansas City, USA.
Sprint operates one of the largest Internet backbones in the world.
Our network capacity can be increased at anytime: OC48, OC192, ...
etc.
September 1, 1999: Cybercon announces support for
Oracle 8i on UNIX and Windows NT.
Oracle is a world leader for deploying complicated database servers in corporate and service provider environments.
New generation web sites are generated and managed by databases. Oracle database is best suited for high traffic web sites.
August 12, 1999: Cybercon named InterNIC premier
Partner.
InterNIC provides its premier partners with a dedicated account
manager to ensure that Web address registrations in .com, .net and .org
are processed with efficiency and expediency. All new domain registrations
and existing domain transfers are processed within 24 hours.
April 08, 1999: Cybercon takes web hosting speed to a new
limit with a new OC3 backbone connection.
While most web hosting companies still rely on T3 (45mbps) Internet connections, Cybercon upgraded its backbone to full OC3 (155mbps) speed. The new backbone is scalable to OC192 (10Gbps) connection when demand increases.
